Frank & Oak Closes $5M Series A Equity Funding

Frank & Oak, a Montreal, Quebec, Canada-based online clothing retailer for men, has closed a $5m Series A equity funding.

The round was led by Eric Lefkofsky and Brad Keywell’s Lightbank, with participation from Bertelsmann Digital Media Investment and Rho Canada Ventures and existing investor Real Ventures.

The company intends to use the funding to improve its personalized shopping experience, add to its team (read here) and expand the range of clothing and lifestyle products offered.

Co-founded in February 2012 by CEO Ethan Song and Hicham Ratnani, Frank & Oak designs, manufactures, and sells Frank & Oak premium clothing and accessories offering a personalized shopping experience and a monthly customer-home delivery service.

In conjunction with the funding, Lightbank’s Vicki Levine will join the company’s board of directors.
