Bottlenose Raises Additional Funding

Bottlenose, a Los Angeles, CA- and Amsterdam, Netherlands-based discovery engine for the social web, has received funding from ff Venture Capital and Prosper Capital.

The new investors have joined the company’s seed financing round, which now totals just under $1m. Previous investors include Gil Elbaz, Andy Dunn, Rick Wittenbraker and Andy Jenks, Mark Lewis, John Hartnett, Nicholas White, etc.

The company intends to use the new funds to develop its solutions.

In conjunction with the investment, John Frankel, a partner at ff Venture Capital, has joined Bottlenose’s advisory board. According to a written statement, he will play a strategic role in the roll out of the company’s Pro offerings, expected early in Q1 of 2013.

Led by Nova Spivack, CEO and co-founder, Bottlenose provides live attention monitoring and analytics solutions, which allows social marketers including enterprises, brands and interactive agencies to gain deeper insights about their audiences, campaigns, and markets, and for early detection of relevant trends and conversations.
The service is currently in public beta.
