Big Switch Networks Closes $25M Series B Funding

Big Switch Networks, a Palo Alto, CA-based platform-independent Software-Defined Networking (SDN) company, has closed a $25m Series B funding.

The round was led by Redpoint Ventures, with participation from Goldman Sachs, and existing investors Index Ventures, Khosla Ventures, etc.

The company intends to use the capital to continue the expansion of the engineering, sales and marketing teams.

Founded in March of 2010 by Guido Appenzeller, CEO, and Kyle Forster, Big Switch Networks provides an Open SDN architecture that is designed to enable customers to deploy dynamic and flexible networking applications, including data center network virtualization. or @bigswitch
