Transfluent Raises $1M in Angel Funding

Reports said that Transfluent, a Helsinki, Finland-based start up that provides human-powered translation services, has raised $1m in angel funding.

According to the company, investors include Veraventure, Lots, founders and advisors.

The company intends to use the capital to move to New York and support its Singapore office.

Led by CEO Jani Penttinen, Transfluent’s partners with 15 000 freelancers to provide translation solutions and help companies engage with fans in their native language on Facebook and Twitter.
The service supports 60 languages.
The company recently has released its API for Apps, which supports Apple iOS, OSX and Android development.
