SimpliVity Raises $25M in Series B Funding

SimpliVity Corporation, a Westborough, MA-based provider of simplified Software Defined Data Center in a Box solutions, has raised $25m in Series B funding.

The round, which brings the total funding to date to $43m, has been led by Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers (KPCB), with participation from existing investors Accel Partners and Charles River Ventures.

The company intends to use the proceeds to accelerate its global expansion.

Led by Doron Kempel, CEO, SimpliVity recently launched OmniCube, a 2U rack-mounted IT infrastructure building block for the virtual machine environment. It provides enterprise computing, storage services and network functionality, inclusive of WAN optimization, Unified Global Management, Seamless Cloud Integration, Primary Storage Deduplication, Backup Deduplication, Caching, Global Scale Out.
