Rawporter Raises $300K

Rawporter, a Charlotte, NC-based new service that protects, promotes, and sells photos and videos shared online, has raised $300k in seed funding.

Backers include the newly formed Inception Micro Angel Fund (IMAF) Cape Fear and the N.C. Fund of Funds, with additional participation by Gofman Holdings.

The company plans to use the capital to grow its online community and enhance its mobile applications.

Launched in November 2011 by Kevin Davis, Rawporter is a social network for news enthusiasts, protecting their rights and earning them compensation for sharing and selling their photos and videos online.
The service has already expanded into 55 countries and has sold content to dozens of media properties globally.
