MoneyPlus Group Acquires Debt Free Me

MoneyPlus Group (MPG) has acquired Debt Free Me, a debt management company, for an undisclosed amount.

Blackburn, UK-based Debt Free Me provides a range of debt management solutions to consumers. The company, which employs 30 people, will continue to trade under the Debt Free Me brand as part of MoneyPlus Group.
The acquisition adds over 6,000 consumers to the MPG customer base.

A Palatine Private Equity‘s portfolio company since June 2011, MPG offers a range of services to improve consumers’ financial situations, including debt management plans and Individual Voluntary Arrangements. The company, which now employs more than 190 people, has plans to extend its offering into other areas, such as insurance and legal services, under the MoneyPlus brand.

Led by CEO Chris Davis, MPG is in the process of moving from its Altrincham base to new offices in Manchester city centre.
