LifeBook Raises £1.6M from Octopus Investments

LifeBook, a Surrey, UK-based start up that offers the experience of creating a personal autobiography for family and friends, has raised £1.6m in funding from Octopus Investments.

The company intends to use the funding to rapidly scale its business and build its brand further investing in sales and marketing efforts.

Created by serial entrepreneur Roy U Moëd, LifeBook delivers a professionally managed experience, from face-to-face LifeBook interviews through to consultation sessions with the author to build the autobiography.
The company targets the growing over 50s market, both in the UK and abroad.

In conjunction with the investment, Alan Wallace, a director on the ventures team at Octopus, will join LifeBook’s board, along with Robert Scott Moncrieff from the Octopus Venture Partners.
