Desire2Learn Incorporated, a Kitchener, ON, Canada-based provider of cloud-based learning solutions for higher education, K-12 and Fortune 1000 companies, has closed an $80m financing.
Backers include New Enterprise Associates (NEA) and OMERS Ventures.
The company intends to use the capital to bolster its customer service and cloud infrastructure, support global growth, and accelerate the development of education technologies.
Led by John Baker, President and CEO, Desire2Learn provides cloud (SaaS) based learning solutions and provides an open and extensible platform to over 700 clients in higher education, K-12, healthcare, government and the corporate sector.
The company offers a cloud-based learning platform providing full support for mobile devices and tablets, digital content discovery and distribution, learning analytics, and open API integration.
Desire2Learn has offices in the United States, Canada, Europe, Australia, Brazil and Singapore.
