Bulu Box Closes $500K in Series A Funding

Bulu Box, a Lincoln, NE-based startup that provides subscribers with vitamins and supplement samples, has closed $500k in Series A funding.

The round was led by Dundee Venture Capital, with participation from seed investors including members from the Nebraska Angels, Karen Linder, Dr. Jim Linder, and Monte Froehlich.

The company intends to use the funding to continue to grow and expand their brand and execute long-term strategies.

Co-founded by married couple Paul Jarrett and Stephanie Jarrett, Bulu Box offers consumers the opportunity to sample, discover and learn about nutritional products before they buy. For a $10 monthly subscription, they receive a box containing premium samples from top brands such as Cellucor, FSI Nutrition, Nightfood and Pure Matters.
Additionally, members are encouraged to “share the health” by joining the Bulu Box social community and sharing their insights, experiences and tips about the products they have sampled.
Launched in June 2012, the service is still in beta.
