Bedrocket Media Ventures Raises $15M from NEA

Bedrocket Media Ventures, a New York City-based media company that creates original content distributed through emerging cross-platform networks and social engagement, has raised $15m in venture capital funding from New Enterprise Associates.

Bedrocket intends to use the capital to continue to grow.

Founded in 2011 by CEO Brian Bedol, co-founder of Classic Sports Network and College Sports Television, in partnership with Ken Lerer, General Partner of Lerer Ventures and co-founder of The Huffington Post, the company produces and distributes immersive video programming and develops cross-platform distribution networks.
The YouTube networks are: Official Comedy; Network A, Look TV, and KickTV.
Its joint venture with Interlude.fm, BIM, is developing new interactive video formats.
Bedrocket has strategic investments in VHX, an independent distribution platform for filmmakers, and Full Screen, a digital media company powered by a network of YouTube channels, and was the executive producer of Sleepwalk With Me, an independent feature film directed by writer Mike Birbiglia.
The company has 30 full-time employees.
