addFleet, a Barcelona, Spain-based provider of intelligent systems for transportation, has raised €3m in funding.
Backers include Telefónica Ventures and Caixa Capital Risc (Caixa Capital TIC).
The company intends to use the capital to commercialize its products worldwide.
Led by Bartolomé Olivares and Daniel Cabrera and accelerated by the Inspirit group, addFleet has developed a cloud-based mobility system that uses mobile devices to connect vehicles to taxi dispatch centres and users with M2M technology.
The company, which was created in in January 2012, is currently running a pilot test of the platform with 200 vehicles in several countries in Europe and Latin America. It has also signed an agreement with Telefónica to include its product in its worldwide portfolio of M2M products.
