Smart Lunches Closes over $1M in Series A Funding

Smart Lunches, a Boston, MA-based online provider of healthy meals for children outside of the home, has closed over $1m in Series A funding.

Backers include Data Point Capital, Jonathan Kraft, President of The Kraft Group, and Lon Chow, General Partner of Apex Venture Partners.

The company intends to use the capital to expand into additional regions and market categories, while continuing to raise the quality of their food and customer experience.

Led by Emily Green, CEO, Smart Lunches partners with schools, daycare centers and camps to serve children fresh, nutritious meals that parents can order 24 hours a day. The company, which operates www.smartlunches.com and Smart Snax vending machines, delivers free meals to the facility each day.
