Semasio GmbH, a Hamburg, Germany-based startup that develops technology for tailoring online display advertising to specific audiences, has raised a seven-digit funding.
The company intends to use the capital to continue to expand and accelerate its product and technology development.
Founded in 2010 by CEO Kasper Skou and CTO Thomas Rask Thomsen, Semasio provides a platform that relies on statistical modeling and machine learning to allow media agencies and advertisers to build and evaluate a database containing the profiles of their users and to boost the effectiveness of their online marketing activities.
Clients include large media agencies, premium publishers and online advertising technology providers in Germany, Switzerland and Scandinavia.
The company has development centers in Denmark and Ukraine.
