Revel Touch Raises $10M in Series A Venture Capital Financing

Revel Touch, a Los Altos, California-based provider of mobile ecommerce solutions, has raised $10m in Series A venture capital financing.

The round was co-led by existing investor Foundation Capital and Lightspeed Venture Partners.

The company intends to use the funding to build out its “merchandising cloud” platform that creates touch-optimized shopping experiences for the tablet and smartphone.

The company recently made several hires, including:
– former Baynote executive and serial entrepreneur, Mark Tsimelzon, as Vice President of Engineering
– previous Kohlberg Ventures Partner and AOL veteran, Bill Youstra, as Senior Vice President of Marketing and Business Development, and
– retail veteran, Trudi Michael, as Vice President of Account Services.

Led by Mar Hershenson, founder and CEO, Revel Touch is building a “merchandising cloud” platform that integrates with brands’ existing ecommerce systems to extend their footprint to their channels.
The company serves brands including Anthropologie, Conde Nast’s Lucky Magazine, Design Within Reach, etc.
