Rallyhood Closes $1.3M Series A Funding

Rallyhood, an Austin, Texas-based online and mobile app that incorporates all the group communication, coordination, and sharing tools, has closed a $1.3m Series A funding.

The round was led by Tom Meredith, Co-founder and Managing Partner of Meritage Capital and former SVP and CFO at Dell, Inc., with participation from Calendar Holdings, Calendars.com, Herb Simon, Jeff Serra, Bill Stapleton and Marc Winkleman.

The company intends to use the capital to to execute its customer acquisition strategy and advance its product vision. In particular, Rallyhood will hire seven new positions in marketing, operations, and product development.

Founded in 2010 by Patti Rogers, CEO, Rallyhood allows groups or individuals to start a free social site in seconds and get an instant suite of tools for sharing information—calendars, files, messages, photos, sign-ups, and money collection.
Organizational users already include Girl Scouts of Central Texas, Komen Austin, Austin Habitat for Humanity, and YMCA of Austin, among others.
