Aerospike Closes Series B Funding

Aerospike, a Mountain View, CA-based real-time NoSQL database company, has closed its Series B funding.

The amount of the deal was not disclosed.

The round was led by New Enterprise Associates (NEA), with participation from existing investors Draper Associates and Alsop Louie Partners.

The company intends to use the capital to accelerate global sales, marketing and support initiatives, as well as rollout new product innovations.

In conjunction with the Series B financing, Rohini Chakravarthy, NEA partner, has joined Aerospike’s board of directors. Additionally, Don Haderle, the father of IBM DB2, has joined as an advisor.

Led Bruce Fram, CEO, the company offers a real-time NoSQL database and key-value store that delivers high performance for mission-critical, Web-scale applications. Customers include adMarketplace, AppNexus, eXelate, Sony’s So-net, and The Trade Desk.
