WordStream, a Boston, MA-based provider of search engine marketing software and services for small and medium-sized businesses, has raised an additional $6m in third funding.
The round was led by Sigma + Partners and Egan-Managed Capital.
Founded in 2008 led by Ralph Folz, CEO, WordStream provides marketers with paid and free keyword tools and PPC management software.
It currently has nearly 1,000 customers.
The company, which has raised a total of $16m to date, intends to use the funding for continued development of its pay-per-click (PPC) management software, PPC Advisor, ongoing expansion of its 20-Minute PPC Work Week, a system of tools and alerts that enables advertisers to optimize their PPC campaigns in just 20 minutes a week, as well as for continued investments in infrastructure.
