Tout.com, a San Francisco, CA-based provider of mobile and Web application that enables real-time video status updates, has raised $13.4m in funding.
Investors include World Wrestling Entertainment, 819 Capital, and individuals Gordon Crawford, Stan Shuman and Jack Schneider.
The company intends to use the capital for product development and international expansion.
Led by Michael Downing, CEO, Tout.com is a technology spin out from Stanford Research Institute (SRI). It provides smartphone (iPhone, iPad or Android) and web applications that enable real-time video status updates, which can be shared through Facebook, Twitter, or even published to websites via the Tout Widget and API.
