StackSocial Raises $800K in Seed Funding

StackSocial, a Losa Angeles, CA-based e-commerce platform for publishers, has raised $800k in seed funding.

Backers include 500 Startups, Tim Draper, Paige Craig, Siemer Ventures, EchoVC Partners, Penny Black, Jim Pallotta, Rick Merrill, Josh Resnick, Mark Schwartz, and Jeff Lapin.

Led by Josh Payne, Founder and CEO, and Stefan Wrobel, Co-Founder and CTO, StackSocial has just launched its digital commerce platform, which offers online publishers an effective way to generate additional revenues by integrating StackSocial’s service directly into their sites as an extension of their brand, providing an experience that increases brand engagement with readers.
The start up, which had been beta testing the platform with several publishers, has also announced a new partnership with global technology publisher Future US, Inc., who’s sites include TechRadar, MacLife, Maximum PC, and GamesRadar amongst others.
The company is part of the first batch of startups launching from Amplify accelerator.
