Siluria Raises $30M in Series C

Siluria Technologies, a San Francisco, CA-based company that is developing a technology to convert natural gas into transportation fuels and chemicals, has closed a $30m Series C financing

The round was led by new investors Bright Capital and Vulcan Capital and joined by existing investors ARCH Venture Partners, The Wellcome Trust, Alloy Ventures, Kleiner Perkins Caufield and Byers, Lux Capital, Altitude Life Science Ventures and Presidio Ventures. 

The company, which has raised $63.3m to date, intends to use the funding to build a commercial demonstration plant.

Led by Dr. Alex Tkachenko, President and co-founder, Siluria is commercializing its process technology for the conversion of natural gas (methane) to higher value chemicals and fuels providing an alternative to reliance on oil.
