Racemi Raises $7M in Series B Funding

Racemi, an Atlanta, GA-based developer of software for migrating workloads to cloud computing, has raised $7m in Series B funding.

Backers include Paladin Capital Group and Harbert Venture Partners.

The company intends to use the capital to scale sales, services and engineering.

Led by Lawrence Guillory, CEO, Racemi develops server provisioning and cloud migration technology that allows businesses to migrate their existing physical and virtual servers to, from and between cloud providers and across data centers. The company’s software automates migration of existing workloads to all the major cloud platforms including Amazon EC2, CloudStack, GoGrid, OpenStack, Rackspace and Terremark.
Racemi makes its DynaCenter software available to cloud providers, professional services teams, and independent software vendors to incorporate into their offerings providing an easy to use tool to add cloud on-boarding capabilities into their products and services. For small- and medium-size enterprises, the company offers Cloud Path, which is a software-as-a-service version of its cloud migration software allowing customers to migrate their applications into clouds in minutes.

In conjunction with the funding, Wayne Hunter, managing partner of Harbert Venture Partners, and Philip Eliot, principal of Paladin Capital Group, have joined Racemi’s board of directors.
