On-Ramp Wireless, a San Diego-based developer of wireless networks for energy automation, has closed a Series C funding of undisclosed amount.
Backers include Energy Technology Ventures.
The company intends to use the funding to further commercialize its solutions.
Led by Joaquin Silva, president and CEO, On-Ramp has developed a wireless system designed to connect hard-to-reach devices in metro scale and other challenging environments. The company’s Ultra-Link Processing™ system enables low-power monitoring and control applications for Smart Grid, pipeline integrity, water efficiency, industrial sensing, and location tracking.
