Edmodo, a San Mateo, CA-based provider of a K-12 social learning network, has closed a $25m Series C funding.
The round was led by new investor New Enterprise Associates, with participation from existing investors Greylock Partners, Benchmark Capital, Union Square Ventures, and Learn Capital.
In conjunction with the funding, NEA General Partner Tony Florence has joined Edmodo’s board.
The company has raised $47.5m to date.
Led by Nic Borg, CEO and co-founder, Edmodo provides a tool for teachers and students to connect with each other to share content and access homework, grades and school notices. It is accessible from any Internet-enabled device and is free for teachers and students.
