The Currency Cloud Raises £2M in Funding from Notion Capital

The Currency Cloud, a London, UK-based provider of a SaaS currency conversion and international payments service, has raised £2m (approximately $3.1m) in funding from Notion Capital.

In conjunction with the funding, Jos White, partner at Notion Capital, will join the company’s Board.

The Currency Cloud intends to use the funding to expand globally.

Launched to market in 2012 and led by Mike Laven, CEO, the company provides a cloud based end-to-end cross currency payments automation service designed to make the international payments processing simple.
The Currency Cloud platform was developed and built by an experienced team of foreign exchange traders, payments experts and technologists. It is currently live at more than 100 large and small customers, including remittance, online payments, corporate services, financial services, and e-wallet firms.
