CIS Secure Computing, Inc., a Sterling, Va.-based provider of secure communications and computing solutions to defense and civilian agency customers, has received an equity investment from Bluestone Investment Partners.
The amount of the transaction was not disclosed.
The company intends to use the proceeds from the investment to expand its reach and product offerings.
Established in 1992 and led by Alan Mischler, president, and Dale Collins, founder, CIS designs and engineers a broad range of products based on commercial-off-the-shelf technologies to meet government requirements. Customers include a wide range of U.S. government customers such as the Department of Defense, Department of State and the intelligence and special operations communities.
The company maintains partnerships with large OEMs (Cisco, HP, Polycom, Riverbed, Juniper, Dell and Avaya) and federal systems integrators (General Dynamics, Harris, Lockheed Martin, ManTech, Northrop Grumman, Raytheon, CACI, SAIC and Verizon).
