Apica, a Stockholm, Sweden-based load testing and performance monitoring provider for cloud and mobile applications, has closed a $5m Series C financing.
The round was led by SEB Venture Capital, with participation from existing investors Industrifonden, ALMI Invest, and KTH Chalmers Capital.
The company intends to use the funding for product development, marketing support, and expanding server and testing capacity for its cloud and mobile testing and monitoring services worldwide, especially in the U.S.
Led by Sven Hammar, CEO, Apica provides a suite of services (WebExcellence) that enables organizations to test applications for maximum capacity, daily performance, improved load times and protection from peak loads. The suite includes Apica LoadTest, Apica WebPerformance, Apica WebOverload and Apica ProxySniffer.
The company raised $2m in Series B financing last July (read here).
