Akina Closes Euro Choice V at €173.5M

Akina, a Zurich, Switzerland-based investment firm that manages funds of funds and direct investment programs, has closed Euro Choice V and parallel vehicles at €173.5m (approximately $211.4m).

Euro Choice V focuses on the mid and lower end of the European market through – primary and secondary – buyout, growth capital and, selectively, special situations fund investments.

Led by Managing Partner Christopher S. Bödtker, and Senior Partners Thomas Frei and Mark Zünd, Akina is an independent advisor to private equity funds and mandates investing in special themes. Its Euro Choice funds, which invest in the European mid-market, have attracted €1.65bn to date from clients around the world.
