Unreal Brands Receives Growth Equity Investment

Unreal Brands, Inc., a Boston, MA-based food company, has received an investment of undisclosed amount.

The round was led by growth equity firm Raptor Consumer Partners, with participation from the company’s co-founder Michael Bronner. In conjunction with the investment, John Burns, Managing Director at Raptor Consumer Partners, has joined Unreal’s Board of Directors.

The company intends to use the proceeds from the investment to launch a line of chocolate candies in over 30,000 stores nationwide, beginning this summer.

Led by President Carlos Canals, Unreal aims to “unjunk” the world. To produce its candies, the company uses real sugar, natural oils, and real milk. They do not contain artificial flavors, preservatives, hormones, genetically modified organisms, hydrogenated oils, or corn syrup.
