Kapow Events Completes $700K Financing

Kapow Events, a Chicago, IL-based event marketplace where business professionals responsible for planning their company’s events can get access to free planning and promotions, has completed a $700k financing.

The round was led by I2A and Pat Ryan Jr., with participation from FireStarter Fund, and angel investors Brian Hand and Jeff Carter.

The company intends to use the capital to expand nationally and internationally.

Founded by CEO Marc Halpin and Dan McCormick, Kapow Events allows business professionals responsible for planning team building, client entertainment and company events to access to exclusive promotions, venues, ideas and custom event development.

In conjunction with the funding, Stuart Larkins and Pat Ryan Jr. joined the company’s Board.
