IvyDate Raises $1.45M in Series A Funding

IvyDate, a New York, NY-based introduction network for singles, has raised $1.45m in Series A funding.

The round was backed by a group of angel investors, including SecondMarket founder and CEO, Barry Silbert.

The company intends to use the funding to accelerate its expansion into new markets worldwide beyond New York City, Boston, and Los Angeles.

Founders Beri Meric and Philipp Triebel, IvyDate is a private community consisting of accomplished individuals, majority of whom have senior corporate or creative roles and multiple academic degrees.
The service employs a dedicated Membership Committee that evaluates each applicant based on a set of interests, achievements, and values. Once approved, members receive hand-selected matches directly to their inbox every week. They can only view and send messages to their own set of tailored matches. To further enhance the experience, IvyDate will soon offer personalized dating suggestions, on-call relationship experts and regular access to exclusive events at top venues.
It currently includes close to 30,000 members.
