yuilop Raises €4.5M in Series A Funding

yuilop, a Barcelona, Spain-based provider of mobile messaging solutions, has raised €4.5m in Series A funding.

The round was led by Shortcut, with participation from Bright Capital, Bruno Ducharme, and existing investor Nauta Capital.

The company intends to use the new capital to expand internationally and to continue to develop its solutions.

Founded in 2010 by Jochen Doppelhammer and Antonio Brusola, yuilop offers a free social communication app for all major mobile platforms which integrates Facebook Chat, IM, and free and unlimited SMS text messaging to any phone.

In conjunction with the funding, Shortcut’s Martin Ostermayer and Bright Capital’s Vadim Tarasov will join the company’s board. Bruno Ducharme will join as advisor.
