ProKlean Technologies Pvt Ltd, Chennai, India-based developer of clean technology products for various industries, has raised Rs 2.5 crore in angel funding.
Backers include Chennai Angels Lakshmi Narayanan, Prabhakar Ram, Rajeev Mecheri, Gopal Srinivasan and Sameer Mehta, as well as Matthew Wood, founder and CEO of SCD Probiotics.
The company intends to use the capital to expand manufacturing facilities, increase sales & marketing reach and also for product R&D.
Led by CEO Dr Sivaram Pillai, Bala Chandrasekhar, and Vishwadeep Kuila, ProKlean develops chemical-free, bio-degradable formulations, used across tanneries, textile firms and hospitality industry.
In conjunction with the funding, Sameer Mehta from Chennai Angels and Sunil Nikhar (founder of Pyxis Systems) will join the company’s board.
