Neodata Group Acquires Newscurve

Neodata Group, an Italian provider of ad-serving and online publisher solutions, recently acquired web analytics company Newscurve.

Founded in 2010 by Boris Krstovic and the team behind Vivvo CMS, Newscurve provides a decision support platform that enables publishers and online media companies (including Serbian public broadcasting company RTS, Slovenian Adria Media – part of Styria Media Group – Mondo, etc.) to determine how to position and promote editorial content based on real-time effectiveness and user engagement.

The acquisition, whose amount was not disclosed, will allow Neodata to leverage Newscurve’s technology to strengthen its editorial suite and to continue to expand internationally, also opening an Eastern Europe subsidiary in Belgrade (at the current Newscurve location).

Led by founder and CEO Giovanni Giuffrida and based in Milan, Catania and San Francisco, Neodata offers an editorial suite that utilizes text-mining, semantic analysis and real-time web metrics to provide online publishers with actionable recommendations to better engage their readers by matching individuals with the content that will best suit them.
Launched in 2004, the company has partnered with top Italian publishers, including Mediaset, La Repubblica, EditorialeDomus, Seat PagineGialle, Tiscali and Sipra.
Earlier this year, it raised € 2.5m in funding from Principia SGR (read here).
