Mobile Backstage, a Helsinki, Finland-based platform designed to create virtual fan clubs designed to increase engagement between fans and artists, has raised €1m in a bridge financing round.
According to reports, backers include Finverra, Mission Ltd, a group of unnamed angel investors and the management team.
The company intends to use the capital to open an office in San Francisco.
Led by CEO Paavo Bäckman, Mobile Backstage creates virtual fan clubs designed to build a community and increase engagement between fans and artists. The service is available on mobile platforms, Facebook and the web.
The company works with major record labels, independent labels and management companies to create clubs for artists such as Willie Nile, Jessie J., Tinie Tempah, The Kooks, Devlin, Lykke Li, Nightwish, Children of Bodom, among others.
