Jumio Receives Additional Series B Financing

Jumio, a Mountain View, CA-based payment and online ID verification company, has received an additional strategic Series B investment of undisclosed amount.

The round was led by Citi Ventures, a unit of global financial services company Citi.
Jumio has raised $35.4m to date with other investors including Andreessen Horowitz and Eduardo Saverin, co-founder of Facebook.

In conjunction with the funding, Ramneek Gupta, Managing Director at Citi Ventures, has joined Jumio’s board of directors as an observer.

Led by founder and CEO Daniel Mattes, Jumio provides:
– Netswipe, which turns any camera on a desktop, laptop or mobile phone into a secure credit card reader, allowing merchants to accept online and mobile payments; and – Netverify, which turns any camera into an ID reader.
