Ignis Biomass Receives £3.1M from Ludgate Environmental Fund

Ignis Biomass, a Richmond, UK-based company that specializes in the generation of renewable energy from sustainable sources, has received a £3.1m from Ludgate Environmental Fund.

The company intends to use the funding for the construction of a biomass energy plant in Wick, Scotland to replace oil-fired heat production for the district heating network, which is to be bought from the Highland Council.

Ignis specialises in the generation of renewable energy from sustainable sourced timber, providing UK businesses and public sector organisations with local solutions to energy supply, waste management and reducing CO2 emissions.
