Grubwithus Raises $5M in Series A Funding

Grubwithus, a Venice, CA-based social dining network, has raised $5m in Series A funding.

Backers include GRP Partners and Lebanese entrepreneur Michel Daher.

Founded in July 2010 by CEO Eddy Lu, Grubwithus allows users to browse and reserve meals online, and then meet, socialize, and build relationships over menus in the US.
The company, which previously raised about $1.6m in seed funding from Ashton Kutcher, Andreessen Horowitz, First Round Capital, New Enterprise Associates, Start Fund, SV Angel and individual entrepreneurs Yuri Milner, Matt Cutts, Paul Buchheit and Alexis Ohanian, intends to use the new capital to develop its restaurant portfolio, create additional marketing channels, enhance the customer experience, and expand into key domestic and international markets. In the near term.
In conjunction with the funding, GRP Partner Mark Suster will join the company’s board.

Grubwithus is currently hiring (https://www.grubwithus.com/jobs).
