EyeVerify Receives $250K Funding from Think Big Ventures I

EyeVerify, a Kansas City-based software startup that brings to market an authentication module that utilizes cameras on mobile devices to take images of an eye to use as a biometric identifier, has received a $250k investment from just launched Think Big Ventures I (read here).

The amount of the deal was not disclosed.

Founded in January 2012 by CEO Toby Rush, and also led by CSO Dr. Reza Derakhshani EyeVerify has developed software that allows mobile users to capture an image of their eye in the place of entering a password to access their mobile phone. The company targets industries such as Financial Services, Transportation, Higher Education, Healthcare, Critical Infrastructure, Hospitality & Gaming, and Government.
