bMobilized Raises $1.5M in Series A Funding

bMobilized, a New York City-based mobile technology startup, has raised $1.5m in Series A funding.

Backers include Alliance Venture and Investinor.

Founded in 2005 in Oslo, Norway, and led by CEO Ben Seslija, bMobilized offers cloud-based tools that allow companies to automatically convert their existing website to an industry standard HTML 5 mobile site supported on all devices, browsers and OSs.
Its patent-pending technology produces a mobile experience that better reflects the original website’s graphic look and feel. The ACI (Automatic Content Identifier), which contains more than 300 algorithms that analyze and detect all parts of a website, converts any Web URL into an HTML5 mobile version in less than 30 seconds. The platform also offers more than 30 individually customizable features that enhance mobile engagement, such as a contact bar, maps, social sharing buttons, product promo window on home page, etc., also making it easy for companies to promote and market their products and services via Google AdWords, QR Codes, and in-app ads.
The company, which relocated to New York City in 2010, currently has 14 full-time employees.
