BetterCloud, a NYC-based application development company, has raised over $2m in seed funding.

Backers include undisclosed angel investors and CEO David Politis.

The company intends to use the funding to accelerate development of its security and management tools for Google Apps users and to broaden strategic partnerships.

In conjunction with the funding, BetterCloud has opened an exclusive beta for its Google Apps management tool, FlashPanel.
The app is available now to the first 500 people who sign up at http://www.flashpanel.com and will be available to everyone via the Google Apps Marketplace this summer. Beta users will receive early access to the product, including all premium features, as well as in-depth product support, future product discounts and other rewards.

In February the company already launched DomainWatch, a Google Apps security tool for domain admins.

BetterCloud is currently hiring (http://www.bettercloud.com/careers/).
