ScienceLogic Raises $15M in Series B Funding

ScienceLogic, Inc., a Reston, Virginia-based provider of IT operations and cloud management software, has raised $15m in Series B funding.

The round was led by Intel Capital, with participation from existing investor New Enterprise Associates (NEA).

The company intends to use the funding for global sales expansion, marketing and development of its technology.

The ScienceLogic platform integrates the core IT infrastructure management functions needed to run complex, distributed computing infrastructures, including systems, performance, network, service, event, and asset management capabilities, as well as run book automation and service desk.
Its solution is used by service providers, corporations and government.

In addition to the funding, the company also appointed John Becker as CEO. Previous CEO and company co-founder David Link will remain as chairman of the board. 
Previously, Becker was CEO of Approva Corporation, and has also held CEO positions at Cybertrust, TruSecure Corp. and AXENT Technologies.
