Outrigger Media, a NYC-based online video marketing company, has raised a Series A financing of undisclosed amount.
The round was led by Spring Mountain Capital, which made the commitment through its SMC Select Co-Investment Fund I.
Launched in early 2009 by CEO Mike Henry, Outrigger has developed a platform designed to connect brands and content around video-centric data. OpenSlate Studios currently analyzes content from a wide range of producers and dozens of blue chip advertisers in a limited-release Alpha. The company, which plans a Beta release of the platform in late April 2012, intends to use the funding for further development.
In conjunction with the investment, SMC Managing Director Avi Faliks, Ph.D. has joined Outrigger’s Board of Directors.
