Metamarkets, a San Francisco, CA-based Big Data analytics company, has closed a $15m funding.
The round was led by new investor Khosla Ventures, with participation from existing investors IA Ventures and True Ventures. This investment brings the total amount raised by the company to date to $23m.
Vinod Khosla, founder of Khosla Ventures, will join Metamarkets as an advisor.
The company intents to use the funding to expand sales and marketing efforts as well as to continue to develop its analytics platform.
Led by CEO Michael Driscoll, Metamarket provides business users with a “data science-as-a-service” analytics platform that delivers real-time insight into large-scale data streams and facilitates visual and interactive discovery through an intuitive web and mobile application.
