GEO Semiconductor Secures over $1M in Series A Equity Financing; To Raise $10M Series B Funding

GEO Semiconductor Inc., a in Santa Clara, California-based provider of programmable, high performance, geometric processor (eWarp) IC solutions for smartphones & peripherals, video communications, surveillance and automotive video camera markets, has secured more than $1m in new Series A equity financing.

The company will now fully focus on completing its $10m Series B funding to complete the development of its new GEN 4 eWARP processor, which is expected to tape-out in the third quarter of 2012. It is also working to sign additional strategic partners.

Led by Chairman and CEO Paul Russo, GEO Semiconductor is developing low cost eWarp ICs that simultaneously correct all optical and alignment issues, while enabling new applications such as real-time HD fisheye/360/elliptical de-warping and multiple-camera stitching in surveillance, video communications, smartphone & smartphone peripherals, and in automotive camera applications.
The company has offices in Toronto and Orlando, and sales channels around the world.
