Freshdesk, a Los Angeles, CA-based online help desk software solution, has raised $5m in funding.
The round was led by Tiger Global Management, with participation from existing investor Accel Partners.
The company intends to use the funding to ramp up engineering, build new product features, and expand its global support team.
Led by CEO Girish Mathrubootham, Freshdesk is a is a cloud-based social customer service software that allows companies to support customers through both traditional support channels like email and phone, as well as social networks such as Facebook and Twitter. It features an easy to use interface and a freemium pricing model that have attracted both startups and enterprise businesses.
