Dr Jackson’s Natural Products, a Bristol, United Kingdom-based a niche cosmetic company, has raised £15k in equity crowdfunding through Crowdcube.
Twelve investors have acquired a 15% stake in the company.
Created by consultant pharmacognosist Dr Simon Jackson, Dr Jackson’s Natural products produces a range of luxurious skin creams and other cosmetics made from indigenous medicinal plant species.
The company intends to use the funding to launch Dr Jacksons ‘Hero’ product, a skin cream which contains natural compounds and acts as melanin inhibitors to reduce dark patches and inflamed skin. The initial skin cream has been formulated, tested, and packaging has been designed and the capital will enable the production of 1,000 units of the product.
