BillDesk, a Mumbai, India-based online payment services company, has received a minority investment of undisclosed amount from TA Associates.
Founded in 2000 by Director MN Srinivasu, BillDesk is a trusted payments service in India partnering with multiple banks, card issuers, service providers and merchants to provide electronic bill presentment and payment and online payment services in India.
The company’s network is used by over 50 of India’s largest banks and by most of the large merchants across diverse industry segments, including utilities, telecom, insurance, mutual funds, travel and e-commerce.
In conjunction with the investment, Dhiraj Poddar, Director, TA Associates Advisory Pvt. Ltd., will join the company’s Board of Directors.
