Teamo.ru, an internet startup that operates an online dating website for Russians, has raised a new round of funding from UMJ Russia Fund, the venture fund managed by United Managers Japan, Inc. (Japan).
This bring the total amount raised by the company to date to more than $2m.
Teamo.ru intends to use the capital to further enhance the service and support a new marketing campaign.
Launched by Fast Lane Ventures in December 2010, and led by and Managing Director Vladimir Shmidt, the company operates a dating targetet to users looking for a serious relationship in Russia. The website, whose main source of income comes from its monthly subscription fee, currently has about 1 million customers.
