Global public relations firm MWW Group has launched a strategic venture arm.
Led by Michael W. Kempner, president and CEO, and the senior management team of the group, MWW Ventures will focus on incubating media, marketing and public relations-related services and technologies that provide innovative tools to brands and media properties. It will invest the resources of the group to ensure portfolio companies increase their market profiles, drive product and service sales and build their brand reputation.
Through partnerships with venture capital firms, incubators, trade associations, media partners and universities, the new firm will explore strategic investment in companies in the measurement and analytics, social media management, media targeting, communications CRM, design, media management, audience building and content creation spaces.
MWW Ventures has made its first investment in BuzzMob, a location-based Social Media Platform headquartered in Santa Monica, California.
